Here are all the trailers from this week’s Nintendo Indie World

On Wednesday night, Nintendo held another of its Indie World broadcasts. As usual, upcoming indie games were in focus, and the Japanese gaming giant kept up with a number of trailers as well as the occasional surprise – such as the sneak launch of Axiom Verge 2.

We have collected all the videos from the broadcast, and you can browse these below. Alternatively, you can watch the entire broadcast in the video window at the top of the article.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

The spiritual sequel to Jet Set Radio continues to roll, and is scheduled to be released once next year. The game – which combines skateboarding and graffiti – will be console-exclusive on the Nintendo Switch for a limited time.

TOEM

The Swedes in Something We Made showed off their upcoming adventure game, TOEM. Players explore a world drawn by hand, solve puzzles and take pictures. TOEM will be released this fall.

Loop Hero

In Loop Hero, players must build the world that the game’s hero will explore and fight his way through. The game’s PC version received a positive reception this spring, and a Switch version is coming towards the end of the year.

Far: Changing Tides

In Far: Changing Tides, players must sail a strange craft through a post-apocalyptic world. The game is a sequel to the much-loved Father: Lone Sails, and will be launched in early 2022.

Necrobarista: Final For

The visual narrative Necrobarista resurfaces with new stories, improved visual quality and a mode where players can create their own stories. The Final Pour version is available now and is console-exclusive for the Nintendo Switch for a limited time.

Garden Story

Garden Story places you in the shoes of a grape, which takes on the job of guarding the forest. With the help of other fruits, one must fight evil forces and rebuild the village. Out on the Nintendo Switch now.

Boyfriend Dungeon

Cave explorer meets dating simulator in Boyfriend Dungeon. You fight monsters in different caves, and your weapons have personalities that you have to work on to get to know better. Out on the Nintendo Switch now.

Axiom Verge 2

We have known for a while that a sequel, or rather precursor, to the critically acclaimed platform game Axiom Verge was on its way. The launch date for Axiom Verge 2 has admittedly been a secret, until Wednesday. The game is out on Switch and PC now.

Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon

Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games is coming up with a new gaming experience in Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon. The game combines puzzles and cave exploration, where players fight and dig for treasures. Coming to Nintendo Switch this winter.

Islanders

The minimalist urban builder game Islanders is ready for console. The Nintendo Switch version is out now, with time-limited console exclusivity.

Metal Slug Tactics

Leikir Studio breathes new life into Metal Slug, with a tactical twist on the classic series. Metal Slug Tactics is coming to Switch next year, and offers a reunion with several of the series’ fixed characters and pixel graphics combined with tactical battles.

Tetris Effect: Connected

The hugely popular Tetris Effect is coming to the Nintendo Switch on October 8th. It is the multiplayer variant Tetris Effect: Connected that is ported to the hybrid console, with both single player mode and Zone Battle, where you build Tetris against each other.

Eastward

The action adventure Eastward takes players to the near future, in a world that is about to collapse. The adventure begins when miner John encounters the mysterious young girl Sam, and together they must explore a large world, solve puzzles and fight evil. Eastward launches on September 16 and will be temporarily console-exclusive for the Nintendo Switch.

In a short assembly, Nintendo could otherwise reveal launch plans for other upcoming games. Both Curious Expedition 2 and Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition are out now. Gang Beasts is coming this fall, while Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator will be released on Switch sometime in the winter. In January, it’s ready for Astronauts on the Switch, while LumbearJack arrives later in 2022.
