Valerio Aprea and Paolo Calabresi are the protagonists of “Here and now”, the third appointment of “Sei Pezzi facili” – the six plays by Mattia Torre staged for the small screen, under the artistic direction and direction of Paolo Sorrentino – which Rai Cultura proposes on Saturday 3 December at 10.00 pm on Rai3.
“Here and now” starts from a head-on accident between two scooters in a remote street on the outskirts of Rome: it is June 2, a national holiday, and help is slow in arriving. The two men lying on the ground are two opposites, anthropologically irreconcilable, destined to hate each other: Aurelio is a famous cook, who cooks on the radio entertaining housewives and not only, his thoughts are always positive, he feels safe, he says he’s smoking; Claudio is unemployed, mammon, awkward, listless, always on the verge of succumbing but, miraculously, still alive.
“Six easy pieces” – a project dedicated to the genius of Torre, played by actor-friends, companions of many cinema, theater and fiction adventures – is online on the RaiPlay platform where the episode “Gola” is exclusively present interpreted by Valerio Aprea.
