“Tadrón Teatro opened its doors 27 years ago with the play “Volvió una noche” by Eduardo Rovner. And since then and over the course of all these years, various plays by this playwright friend have been produced in this space. This Festival was born from the desire to pay homage and honor the memory of the Argentine playwright Eduardo Rovner, and through him, rescue the memory of the Argentine Theater, a theater that resonates beyond the borders of our country. Aquí y Ahora Rovner is inaugurated with the idea of replicating itself every year, in the Gastón Breyer room of the Tadron Teatro, to stage various materials by the author on stage in each edition”

Antonia is a 120-year-old mother who struggles psychologically -and at times even physically- so that her daughter does not abandon her. Petra, her daughter, is 94 years old, single and wants to fulfill her postponed dream of consecrating herself as an artist in her lover’s bar. Antonia, totally destabilized by such a decision, will do everything in her power to convince her otherwise, using all kinds of disqualifying arguments, loaded with black humor, irony, and psychological traps. Two beings that transcend the sexes, that confront and at the same time share a concert of frustrations, unfulfilled desires and fatal postponements. The impossibility of leaving, and a stay, without possibilities. Wonderfully caustic.
