Hérault: Towards a new take-off for culture in 2021?

The Hérault plans to invest a budget of 14M € in the cultural sector. Endangered by the health crisis, culture is at the heart of the department’s commitments with support for the creation and promotion of heritage.

Grants to associations and cultural events in 2020 have been maintained to help artists and cultural actors. Artist residences will be set up at the Théâtre d’O and the Scène de Bayssan (soon the Hervé di Rosa space).

Several projects are supported to highlight cultural events municipalities with financing or loan of equipment. The Hérault is also planning several artistic events: Tremplin 34Tours, Hérault Hérault Patapon festival, Marble Symposium, concert, etc.

Artistic and cultural actions are set up to all audiences. 220 educational actions are planned for 2021 for children of the youngest age or for college students.
