New searches, long awaited by the family of gendarme Mathieu Caizergues, disappeared in Reunion since June 23, 2017, began on June 9 in the morning and should last several weeks.
They stand on one of the ramparts of the Cirque de Mafate, a cliff that descends 800 meters in length.

A team of rope access technicians from the company Acropro specializing in safety at height was mobilized as part of a procedure authorized after weeks of legal combat by the investigating chamber.
The investigations take place under the watchful eye of an examining magistrate.
