Twenty-three deputies of the majority, including the parliamentarian from Hérault Patricia Mirallès, have signed a common letter asking the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin and the Minister Delegate in charge of Sports Roxana Maracineanu to authorize the practice of individual outdoor sport after 6 p.m..
For physical and psychological health
After the generalization of the curfew at 6 p.m. throughout France, parliamentarians stress that “the 6 am – 6 pm time slot strictly corresponds to the family and professional requirements of a large majority of French people, already affected by the succession of collective hardships and personal pain, leaving very little room for exercising a sporting activity, considered an essential outlet ”.
In their letter, the 23 members of the majority recall that “the exemptions allowed within the framework of the two periods of confinement had allowed the French to talk to each other physically and morally despite the difficulty of the situation, without generating gatherings likely to promote the spread of the virus ”.
This is why Patricia Mirallès and her colleagues ask the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin and the Minister Delegate in charge of Sports Roxana Maracineanu to “allow the practice of individual physical activity in the open air, by way of derogation, beyond of the 6 pm limit ”.
