The firefighters intervened this Friday, July 1, from 6 p.m., on a low grass and pine forest fire which broke out between Saussan and Pignan. At 7 p.m., the fire was contained after having covered 10 hectares.
Around 6 p.m., this Friday 1is July, the firefighters intervened in the town of Saussan, in the direction of Pignan in the Hérault, for a fire in low grass and scrubland. At 7 p.m., the fire was contained, after having covered 6 hectares of vegetation.
No homes threatened
Two intervention groups were engaged. The Castelnau-le-Lez gendarmerie company, which intervened on the spot, had indicated that the fire did not threaten any dwelling, the wind not blowing in the direction of the village of Saussan.
