Doctor Cédric Alinat is president of the territorial professional health community which was created in July. It is at the heart of the Pays de Lunel vaccination center. Interview.
Just a few days after the opening of the Pays de Lunel vaccination center, are you satisfied with the organization in place?
The first two days allowed some internal adaptations and there it is going perfectly. The rare situations where the patient was unable to come or was not eligible for vaccination were compensated for by a list, drawn up by the doctors, of reserve patients who could be mobilized at the last moment. Thanks to which we did not lose any dose.
What are the main issues you are facing?
It is imperative that patients adhere to the vaccination indications. If they are not in the category of people over 75 years or at risk, they will not be vaccinated, even if they travel to the center. There is no privilege, we report to the regional health agency every evening and we cannot deviate from these criteria.
What is the current workforce of the vaccination center?
125 health professionals from the Pays de Lunel are mobilized: 90 nurses and 35 doctors. We have also trained 15 agents that the City makes available to us for reception. Every day, on site, we have four nurses, three general practitioners, two receptionists and a Rotary volunteer.
as well as a coordinator who is currently a member of the local professional health community (CPTS).
What are the centre’s current immunization capacities and prospects?
We have 18 patients per hour for the first vaccination. The ARS asks us to plan, for the moment, 600 appointments per week until February 15 and all appointments are full. Afterwards, we don’t know. In any case, we are organized to be viable for several months and we are able to do up to 1,100 vaccines per week as soon as we are allowed.
What is the interest, for the territory, of the territorial professional health community that you chair?
In 2018, the APSL association was created which brought together 170 health personnel and 21 structures because it was necessary to have a coordination of the liberals among themselves and a coordination of the liberal world with the various structures in order to develop health projects and support professionals in their daily practices. The ARS pointed out to us that we were in a dynamic of CPTS and we obtained a creation agreement in July, the first in Occitanie. Our board of directors has thirteen people representing the different liberal health professions and we have two coordinators: Christophe Houalard and Gaëlle Bacou. Thanks to our logistical and communication knowledge, our network, our contacts with the health authorities, we have already supported two nurses, Edwige Zenou and Mariane Alverny, to set up a mobile team for the frailty of the elderly. We worked on setting up the vaccination center, the Covid screening center in partnership with Labosud and the antigen testing center. We have also set up a protocol for the management of Covid patients by doctors, nurses and pharmacies and created the CoviDELs network, nurses equipped to perform tests and who monitor patients at home.
Are you representative on the territory?
Yes, we had a great mobilization of professionals but our organization does not exclude those who are not part of it and it guarantees the freedom of both health professionals and patients.
