Citizen Ali Al-Marri, who saved a girl from drowning in the industrial city of Jubail, described the early moments of the accident as critical, due to the time factor, stressing the importance of speed in such situations.

In an interview with Al Arabiya.net, he explained that people gathered at the crash site while he was traveling with his family when he heard a distress call.

He also added that he approached the site and noticed the girl falling and her mother followed her to save her after asking people present to help her, but no one answered her.

While everyone feared the rescue process, he decided to risk jumping into the water, explaining that his goal was how to rescue her and get her safely out of the water, which reached a depth of 3 meters.

She added that she decided to jump after seeing the little girl face down in the sea, so she swam close to the fence until she reached the little girl and hugged her to safety.

Al-Marri confirmed that the girl was crying and collapsed in fear, explaining that he returned and contacted his father to check his health, amid the family’s gratitude for what he did with his daughter.

Interestingly, the incident took place in Al-Tilal Park in the industrial city of Jubail and caused a sensation on social media, amid comments praising the young man’s action, generosity, morale and courage.
