Three weeks after the death of her mother, Florence Aillet decided to file a complaint. Last Saturday, in a letter sent by registered mail to the public prosecutor, the Dracénoise took action “against the Tonus Vitamin nursing home for manslaughter”.
Florence Aillet is determined. She thought carefully before taking the plunge. The Dracénoise refuses to let the death of her mother as a result of Covid-19 go unpunished. Because, according to her, the establishment Tonus vitamin has a responsibility. “I accuse them of not having taken the necessary measures enough to prevent the death of my mother on October 25. It is a breach of an obligation of prudence and safety. The management and staff of the nursing home failed to do so. their duties.”
This complaint marks a turning point in his fight against the retirement home. “At the same time, I collect testimonies from other families, continues Florence Aillet, also president of the Victoria association which helps vulnerable people. Several of them joined the association. We no longer have confidence in this structure. ”
“At least ten deaths”
As a reminder, on October 16, 50 positive cases were identified at the nursing home: 37 residents, including six symptomatic, and 13 employees, including two asymptomatic.
Florence Aillet then testified in our columns after the contamination of her mother, negative in the first tests.

During this time, several relatives of residents have united in order to denounce, according to them, shortcomings.
“We must save people in nursing homes”, Chantal in turn hammers, in a trembling voice. Her husband is one of the occupants of the Dracénois establishment. “I am convinced that he is not safe there, especially with regard to the health system put in place. There is a lack of support from nursing staff. If I could take my husband home I would, but I can’t, because of his disability. ”
Tested positive on November 6, the man was confined to his room for ten days.
