Hailey Silas, 22, was found dead in the Mississippi River on October 21 and her death remains a mystery – writes Bors.
Silas, the mother of a four-year-old boy, was arrested and detained on October 15 after repeatedly calling the police and begging for help because she was “scared”. He told the cops he was having a “panic attack” and begged them to take him to a psychiatric ward. Silas’ sister revealed that the 22-year-old was an addict.
Silas’ body was mysteriously found more than 400 miles from where the call was made.
Deputy Chief Anthony Buckner called the death investigation “extremely unusual” on Monday.
Before his death, he had been arrested for false alarm and was confused and scared at the police station, according to the report. He begged to speak to his mother or father, then asked to be taken to a hospital, to a psychiatric ward.
