Tangerang, HALOBANTEN.COM – All medical personnel and health workers (Nakes) will receive Hepatitis B immunization simultaneously. Hepatitis B immunization is planned to be held on November 8 at the Tangerang District Hospital.
In order for hepatitis B immunization activities to run smoothly, the Tangerang District Hospital held a preparatory meeting for the launch of Hepatitis B immunization in the hospital management building, Friday (3/11/2023).
The Hepatitis B immunization will be carried out in a hybrid manner and will be attended by eight provinces and 20 health workers as a symbol.
Head of the Tangerang Regency Health Service (Dinkes), Achmad Muchlis, said that hepatitis B immunization for medical personnel and health workers is an effort to prevent the spread of Hepatitis B among these groups. Moreover, health workers are a population that is quite vulnerable to both contracting and transmitting the hepatitis B virus.
According to him, health workers are at high risk of exposure to the hepatitis B virus. The reason is because they carry out medical interventions or procedures. “So it is important for medical personnel and health workers to undergo hepatitis B immunization as a way to protect themselves,” he said.
Acting Director of the Tangerang Regency Regional Hospital, Endang Widyastiwi, added that the target of Hepatitis B immunization is the Puskesmas and First Level Health Facilities (FKTP) services. This group includes dentists, general practitioners, midwives, nurses and medical laboratory technologists.
Meanwhile, Advanced Level Referral Health Facilities (FKTRL) include medical laboratory technologists, midwives, general practitioners, internal medicine specialists, dentists, dental specialists, anesthesia specialists, ob-gyn, surgical specialists, clinical pathology specialists, and nurses.
“We hope that through this activity we can provide protection and prevent transmission and transmission of Hepatitis B to medical personnel and health workers,” he concluded.
