Negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine could begin by the end of this year with the mediation of China, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in an interview with CBS News.
The former head of the State Department believes that the Ukrainian conflict is approaching a tipping point.
“Now that China has entered the negotiations, the conflict will come closer to a resolution, I think by the end of the year,” Kissinger said.
The material recalls that Kissinger is 99 years old, has hearing problems, is blind in one eye, and has undergone multiple heart surgeries.
“At the same time, he claims to work about 15 hours a day and stay relevant on the world stage,” CBS News wrote.
Kissinger also stated that a hypothetical conflict over Taiwan could not be ruled out to cause a full-scale war between the US and China.
“We have a problem. The fact that it could escalate into a full-scale war between two high-tech powers requires urgent attention,” stressed the former head of the State Department.
According to him, we are in a “very dangerous period”.
