On Monday morning, a new episode of the Schibsted podcast “How are you, man?”, Led by VGTV profile Erik Follestad (32), was published.
Shortly after, the podcast was removed.
This week’s guest was athletics star Henrik Ingebrigtsen (31), who among other things talked about how relationship with father Gjert Ingebrigtsen is at present.
– I think it is on the road to recovery. But you need time to get used to the new life. Eventually it will happen, he said in the episode.
The way in the podcast is that well-known profiles talk to Follestad about emotions, often related to difficult periods in life.
Several media quoted what Ingebrigtsen said in the VG podcast on Monday morning, including Dagbladet.
Thanks Gjert
– The preconditions were broken
Editor of VGTV, Rolf Sønstelie, tells Dagbladet that on Monday morning there were objections from Henrik Ingebrigtsen, after VG had published a case about what came out in the episode.
– His experience is that the prerequisites for the interview are broken. We have chosen to listen to that, especially in a podcast like this, which is about men and emotions. Therefore, we cut out the sequence that is about the relationship with the father, says Sønstelie to Dagbladet.
Monday afternoon, the new version of the episode is published again.
He further says that the decision to remove the episode was made at the editorial level in VG. He is himself the editor of the content.

– Thought everything was fine
Sønstelie further says that the precondition for Ingebrigtsen to show up in the podcast was that he did not want to talk about the family and the coaching break-up with his father.
– We thought that it was still natural to ask some questions about his own feelings and experiences in this situation, which he answered. When he had a bad experience of it afterwards, we take it to heart and listen to it, says Sønstelie, and continues:
– We do not want guests to be left with a bad experience after opening up about personal feelings in a podcast in VG, says Sønstelie.
He goes on to say that the tone in the studio, and afterwards, was good.
– It was a nice and reflective conversation. We thought everything was fine. That he looks at it differently in retrospect, we respect, says Sønstelie.
Max Social, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of VGTV AS, informed Dagbladet on Monday morning that the podcast was published since they have not had the content approved by the Ingebrigtsen family.
Dagbladet has tried to get in touch with Henrik Ingebrigtsen, but has not succeeded.
In addition to Follestad, Max Social has several well-known VGTV profiles in the stable. Among others, the “Spårtsklubben” colleagues Mads Hansen and Ida Fladen.
