ROME – In the first quarter of 2024, handle recorded a turnover of approximately 5.3 billion euros and significant organic growth of 3.0%, supported by the very positive development of both divisions. At Group level, volumes are still influenced by the business unit’s portfolio management measures Consumer Brands, they saw afurther recovery compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. In nominal terms, the turnover fell by 5.2% compared to the first quarter of last year, mainly due to the divestment of operations in Russia and the negative effects of currency fluctuations. The group announced this in a statement.
The acquisitions
“We started the year very well. We managed to complete the acquisitions of Seal for Life Industries e Vidal Sassoon in China earlier than expected, and this further strengthens our business,” he said Carsten Knobel, CEO of Henkel. “Given these developments, we have revised our revenue and earnings forecasts upwards for 2024. We have a clear strategy and we are implementing it rigorously. We do what we promise, and we are on the right path to even more profitable growth,” she added.
Upward forecasts
The forecast for 2024 has been revised upwards. In particular, for the current fiscal year Henkel estimates organic revenue growth of between 2.5 and 4.5% (previously between 2.0 and 4.0%). For Adhesive Technologies one is expected development between 2.0 and 4.0%, for Consumer Brands between 3.0 and 5.0%.
