SC Heerenveen-trainer Johnny Jansen has a clear reason for the spot on the bench for Henk Veerman visiting FC Utrecht. Jansen simply expects more from his attack leader.
“Henk has been ill, but we are also a bit less satisfied at the moment,” the Heerenveen trainer says in conversation with ESPN. “I just expect more from Henk at the moment, in a general sense. Participating in possession, participating in loss of the ball. At the moment he just has a lesser period in that.”
Veerman is also doing less in the training sessions, Jansen makes clear. “I think it is insufficient at the moment. We talk about this weekly. How do we want to see it? At a certain point you make a choice. Henk has received that choice and I hope he is very angry. he comes in, he’s going to tap from another barrel,” Jansen concludes.
Utrecht and Heerenveen have now been busy for almost thirty minutes in the Galgenwaard. It’s 1-1.
