Hendrar Prihadi responds to the duet conversation with Anies in the Jakarta Gubernatorial election

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

a PDIP politician Hendra Prihadi answer to a conversation that said he would be with him Ann Baswedan in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

He admitted that he had not received an order from the PDIP DPP to run in the competition side by side with Anies.

“So far I have not received any information regarding the Jakarta gubernatorial election,” Hendrar said CNNDonesia.comTuesday (20/8).

The Hendrar Prihadi-Anies Baswedan duet plan emerged after PDIP Chairman DPP Said Abdullah said that PDIP planned to pair Hendrar with Anies to fight for the Jakarta 1 seat.

However, Hendrar did not answer for sure if he was ready to join Anies in Jakarta Pilkada 2024.

He only referred to himself as a PDIP body that adhered to all the decisions and orders given to him by the party.

“In principle, as a party organization, I am just following the orders of the leadership,” he said.

Before that, Said admitted that PDIP planned to support Anies as a couple with Hendrar in Jakarta Pilkada 2024.

Said also admitted that he had communicated directly with Anies. Now, Said said, the PDIP hopes that there will still be opportunities before the registration period opens on August 27.

“We are working in this way with other parties as much as possible before the 27th. We are looking for opportunities. If we get the opportunity, we will bring Anies as the first person and Hendi as the second person,” Said said at the Parliament Center, Jakarta, Monday (19/8).
