Helse Midt-Norge to Implement Health Platform in Møre and Romsdal Despite Request for Delay

This means that Helse Møre and Romsdal must prepare for their four hospitals to adopt the record system in April, writes Address newspaper.

Earlier this month, the board of Helse Møre og Romsdal, which is an enterprise under Helse Midt-Norge, requested that the introduction be delayed due to the problems with the system in Trøndelag. This request is now rejected.

– This is demanding, both for the boards of the individual healthcare institutions and the management of the healthcare institutions, but it is necessary that we stand together and continue to work together for a whole for the patients and residents of Central Norway, says chairman Odd Inge Mjøen of Helse Midt- Norway.

“A postponement of the introduction of the Health Platform for two years will have major consequences for the specialist health service in Central Norway”, the board decided on Wednesday.

Helse Midt-Norge fears that a postponement in Møre and Romsdal could lead to increased waiting lists in the hospitals and affect the hospital economy in such a way that it goes beyond necessary investments in the hospitals in the coming years. It is estimated that a postponement for two years will cost just under one billion kroner.
