Minister of Foreign Affairs UkraineDmytro Kuleba, urges Western countries to send weapons to countries that are still being battered by aggression Russia, Monday (14/3). According to him, World War III could break out if the Russian invasion of Ukraine could not be stopped.
Kuleba also asked Western countries that have been committed to defending Ukraine to impose more sanctions and boycotts on Russia.
“For those out there who are afraid of being ‘dragged into World War III.’ “Ukraine will fight back and succeed. We need your help to fight the war. Give us all the necessary weapons. Apply more sanctions to Russia and carry out complete isolation,” Kuleba said on his Twitter account, Monday (14/3), as quoted by Antara. Reuters.
“Help Ukraine push Putin to failure and you will be able to avoid a bigger war,” he continued.
Previously, Kuleba had asked Western countries to send fighter jets and other military assistance to Ukraine. This request was made so that Ukraine could maintain their air control, given that there would be more casualties if the country could not stop Russia’s air strikes.
“Our highest demand is for fighter jets, attack aircraft and air defense systems,” Kuleba said AFP.
Ukraine continues to urge its allies to make more efforts to suppress Russia, one of which is to implement a no -fly zone in the country’s airspace.
However, some Western countries fear the aid sent to Ukraine could drag them, including NATO members, into direct war with Russia.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin had threatened Western countries in connection with this no -fly zone.
“Any movement in this direction we will consider as participation in armed conflict by the country,” Putin said at a meeting with Aeroflot employees, quoted from the statement. AFP.
He also stressed that the implementation of the no-fly zone would have ‘colossal’ consequences for Europe and the world.
Previously, Ukraine urged NATO to impose a no-fly zone or non-fly zone against its country.
With a no-fly zone, any aircraft that violates and enters Ukrainian airspace will be intercepted and even shot down by NATO.
However, NATO insists it refuses to apply these rules. Some think that NATO is concerned that implementing a no-fly zone in Ukraine is tantamount to declaring a direct war with Russia.
