State Secretary Mona Keijzer made a good appeal today: go outside tomorrow and support your local entrepreneur. Now that the terraces open again on 1 June, many local entrepreneurs can use a helping hand. They hope for a lot of crowds. Literally every customer counts – not only because of the rules, but also because of the turnover.
12:00, June 1, the long-awaited date for many catering entrepreneurs and customers. They can finally go back to the terrace, which is not only good for boredom, but is also a boost for the entrepreneur. Many entrepreneurs have already died from bankruptcy in recent months, and if the catering industry had to remain closed for longer, the damage would probably have been even greater. That is why the call of the State Secretary is not so crazy at all. Especially since many people will still be reluctant in the beginning.

Many entrepreneurs would have preferred to see them open the entire Pentecost weekend, unfortunately for them: the cabinet kept its foot down.
But tomorrow it will finally be June 1; which will be the start of an exciting time. Many parts of society are going to relax, what this means for the spread – and possible revival – of the virus we don’t know. The coming weeks will be very exciting.
The catering entrepreneur – and numerous other entrepreneurs – will again have the opportunity to open up. They can use this support very well.
