In view of the high increase in the cost of propane gas and natural gas, the HEAP program (Home Energy Assistance Program) is helping qualified New Yorkers with their heating costs from October until the end of winter. .

The New York Home Energy Assistance Program helps low-income people with the cost of heating their homes. Qualified applicants may receive a regular seasonal HEAP benefit and may also be eligible for an emergency HEAP benefit if they are in imminent danger of running out of fuel or that their public service is cut off.
