An additional problem is that Retton does not have health insurance. That’s why her daughter decided to use the crowdfunding website.

Retton celebrated her successes in Los Angeles while still a high school student. It immediately became extremely popular. She was chosen Sportswoman of the Year by Sports Illustrated magazine. Her image was used, among others, when promoting well-known breakfast cereals.

She ended her career in 1986 at the age of only 18. Previously, she had won the America’s Cup three more times.

Over the years, its popularity did not decrease. She was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1997. In turn, in 2018, she appeared in the program “Dancing with the Stars”, where she took ninth place. (br)
