The Parisian company HelloSafe, a financial product comparison platform, has just delivered its annual survey (StartupBlink) on the best French cities for start-ups in 2023. This year, Rennes ranks as the 10th best city, ahead of Brest (16th ) and Saint-Malo (25th). Paris, Marseille and Toulouse monopolize the podium, in that order. HelloSafe establishes its ranking according to three main criteria: quantity (number of start-ups, number of incubators…), quality (private sector investments, presence of multinational companies…) and business environment (investment in R&D, number of patents per head…).
