Hell on holiday if you travel to the UK

Difficulties are possible for Bulgarians traveling to and from Great Britain due to a strike by border guards between 23-26 December and 28-31 December. The Bulgarian embassy in London warns about this on its website.

People planning travel to and from the UK are advised to keep an eye on their carriers for possible delays or cancellations of flights and ferry services.

The strike is expected to make a major impact on passport control at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, as well as those in Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and Birmingham.
British ports are also expected to be affected, as was the Roads Agency, coordinating with strikes by rail transport workers over the same period, our diplomatic mission in London also specified.
