A hellish blast has killed in Istanbul. Three people were killed and nine were injured in an explosion at a paint factory in Istanbul’s Tuzla district, Turkish television TRT Haber reported.
A fire broke out in the factory, which has already been contained. Efforts to cool the site continue.
There is heavy smoke in the area of the plant and explosions are still heard from time to time.
The cause of the fire, which caused material damage to workshops and wooded areas in the area of the industrial complex, is unknown.
The Welsh government in Istanbul said the three victims were buried in the rubble in which they died. The condition of the nine wounded is considered mild.
