For the past four years, former Ap deputy leader Helga Pedersen has been mayor of her home municipality of Tana. Now partner Samelista is breaking up with her.
– In the election campaign, our voters have given a clear message that they do not want Helga Pedersen. We have also been told that the voters want Jon Erland Balto from Sp. So now Helga Pedersen can just pack up in the mayor’s office, says Samelista’s first candidate, Markus Heiberg NRK.

Pedersen was deputy leader of the Labor Party from 2007 to 2015, and Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs from 2005 to 2009. After her career as a national politician, she moved home to Tana, and entered local politics in 2019.
She also wanted the Liberal Party to participate in negotiations for a new majority in Tana after the election, but the Liberal Party has also agreed to negotiations with SP, Conservative Party and FRP. Samelista is not currently included in these negotiations.
