Helene Spilling: – This is what she will do now

Barely a month ago could professional dancer Helene Spilling (25) let go of the cheers after going to the top in “Shall we dance” with Simon Nitsche (29).

The duo quickly became favorites with both viewers and judges, and after the victory, Nitsche has returned to his job at Sports News. Gaming, on the other hand, has taken on completely new challenges after the TV 2 program.

On Instagram, she recently revealed that she is starting for herself.

“Today I have become a key and many square meters richer! I’m opening my own dance studio! », She wrote on Instagram for a photo where she posed outside The Zone dance studio.

Takes money from your own pocket

To Dagbladet, she is clearly excited about the time to come, and says that at the time of writing she manages and arranges to get everything ready.

– This has been something I have been thinking about for a very long time, and perhaps especially last year after “Shall we dance” started to think about it properly, she says, and continues:

– Then I started looking for premises, but there are many premises that need a lot of renovation and that need to be done quite a lot.

In addition, the professional dancer points out that you are dependent on equity to start something like that, even if you rent and do not own the venue.

– There will be some money from your own wallet in the beginning. There are a number of things to buy. It probably costs a little money first before it might come in again.

Special studio

The new studio, where Spilling starts on its own in the new year, is located in Pilestredet in Oslo – and it is not just any studio she is now taking over.

– After this year’s season, I talked to “Shall we dance” because the building we have used there will be demolished. They are looking for new premises, so I said that “if you come across something, you have to say so”. Then the production advised me that it should be demolished here, and that it will be left vacant for a while, she reveals.

The 25-year-old rents the “Shall we dance” studio, where professional dancers and celebrities rehearse until the TV broadcasts.

– I hope I can continue here until it is demolished, she adds.

Gambling has good knowledge of the studio, not only from participation in the TV 2 program.

– I also trained there when I was 13-14 years old, she reveals.

– What kind of feedback have you received in the last few days?

– I have received a lot of nice messages. People who have called me and people who ask when the courses come up and stuff. I hope I get everyone posted as soon as possible so people can sign up and get ready for the new year when we start in full, she answers.

In recent days, however, she has already taught in her new studio.

Experience

There is little doubt that she has received many inquiries and inquiries already, and when asked if she has received any strange or eerie ones, she answers:

– Yes… hehe. No, you know what. So far, I have not experienced any strange inquiries. And I hope I do not have to deal with it. At the same time, I am aware that I am now becoming available to people in a completely different way. But so far it has only been decent and ålreite people who have come to the studio to learn to dance.

The man, or woman, in the street thus gets the opportunity to learn from the “Shall we dance” winner, but other professional dancers will also teach when they have time, says Spilling.

She is also not afraid that she will lose financially on this.

– If it had gone really badly, it would have been an experience anyway. I think you have to invest and guts, and I think it will go well. If it does not, it is worth the money anyway, she believes.
