Facing the Uruguay team, for their second match in this Rugby World Cup, the players of the French XV had great difficulty making the difference. If the starters were left to rest for this meeting, there were some very talented players on the field, starting with Anthony Jelonch, who returned from a serious injury and captain for this match. In the end, it was a 27-12 victory for the Blues, including a try from Antoine Hastoy. For this meeting, the French were at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille and there were lots of people in the stands.
