Helena Freitas, Country Director at Sanofi Portugal and former FEP student, was recently recognized by the magazine Forbes Portugal as one of the five most powerful women in the Healthcare sector.

Helena Freitas expressed her pride in this role, highlighting the importance of the team that accompanies her at Sanofi. “This role, for me, is a source of great pride and motivation to continue reinforcing Sanofi’s purpose of pursuing the power of science to improve people’s lives. Helena Freitas has a degree in Economics from FEP and a master’s degree in Business Administration from AESE Business School. He started his career at Ernst & Young, where he stayed for five years, before moving to the pharmaceutical industry, at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he held various positions for 12 years. In 2016, she joined Sanofi as director of Market Access and Public Affairs, after being appointed General Manager of the Vaccines Unit and, in 2022, Country Director of Sanofi Portugal.

This recognition is further proof of Helena Freitas’ impact on the health care sector and the fundamental role she plays in developing more sustainable and inclusive solutions.
