How have you been since you arrived in Italy, in Chieri?
I’m doing very well, my integration went perfectly. We have played a few friendlies, things are falling into place. I arrived in a family club, where there is a great atmosphere. I am really happy, I enjoy it as much as possible. I also continue to follow the French championship, I think we should see a very good season, especially with the return of the public.
What do you remember from these few weeks with the selection?
We had a very good performance. It has been a while since the France team failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Euro. It’s super positive, it’s the fruit of the work we have been doing for several years now with coach Émile Rousseaux. We surprised everyone, nobody expected to see us do these performances. Even we did not expect to reach this high this summer. This makes us want to continue working even more to continue to progress and move forward.
With the prospect of Paris 2024 in sight?
Yes, of course we think about it. Afterwards, we also know that the road is still very long. We have seen, against Serbia, and even if we took a set, how far we have to go to reach this level. What is certain is that we will fight and give our maximum to do something in 2024. Especially after the performance of the boys and other team sports in Tokyo, we really want to level up and try to do something. big thing.
You seemed to be in very good physical shape, after the hard work put in place by Pablo Griboff, physical trainer for the Angels and the Blue.
Yes quite. We know the importance of this field in modern sport. Pablo managed this aspect perfectly, we made a lot of progress in terms of the strike and explosiveness. If I take my personal case, I felt very good physically. Especially since beyond the physical work, Pablo is a very positive person, who brings a great energy and the desire to go even further.
The Angels’ revenge against Mulhouse?
Severely beaten match, last weekend, in the Supercup, at the end of a match where they will have missed a lot of things, especially in the fight and aggressiveness, the Béziers Angels will be keen to take their revenge, this Saturday, in front of their audience at Four-à-Chaux. Lacking collective benchmarks after the late arrivals of several foreign internationals, the Biterroises worked a lot during the week to continue to progress collectively.
