This weekend the HEK Community Film Festival is taking place in Tierra Grata, in Manure, Cesar, which was born as an initiative to narrate peace, but which found through immaterial reparation a way to recognize the reconciliation processes that take place. It has given both in the country and in the world.
The event is divided into three acts: what we were, what we are and what we will be, through which there will be a tour of what the laying down of arms was like, the area occupied by the signatories and the film productions that address the themes of memory and reconciliation.
The second day seeks to recognize how the community was built in Tierra Grata, as well as how community cinema is produced, so there will be workshops, the launch of the documentary series “We are history”, and the screening of films that break stigmas and stereotypes .

The last day is focused on the children. There will be workshops, screenings of works focused on them and a discussion about how art and culture are tools for new generations to work for the non-repetition of the armed conflict.
