Newell’s Old Boys have a new coach. As announced by the Argentine first division club of Rosario, Gabriel Heinze will be on the sidelines of the club in the future. The former Albiceleste international played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, among others, during his active career.

The 44-year-old has been out of work since the summer of 2021. Previously, he coached Atlanta United in the American MLS. The youth club of world star Lionel Messi did not provide any information on the duration of the contract.
