We thought we would have to wait until early 2022 for this opening that we so hoped for. And finally, Brick House has worked twice as hard to open HEIN, its new brewery located on Place Saint-Hubert in Lille, not far from Lille Flandres station. In this “tavern of the future”, 20 pressure spouts and revisited Flemish dishes await residents from Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
20 different craft beers
We already told you about it last February. The Brique House team, which inaugurated its first brewery in Saint-André-lez-Lille at the start of 2020, aimed to open two new taprooms before the end of 2021. With HEIN (which we can to pronounce as in “Hein, biloute!”), that already makes one!
This new place of conviviality will allow us to (re) discover local and mythical products from the North, revisited in the Brique House sauce. “Combining brasserie and taproom, HEIN wants to give a new tone to catering with its ultra-futuristic vision of the tavern,” explains Brique House.
In a space that can accommodate up to 200 people on three levels, and a terrace for sunny days, beer will obviously be the queen. No less than 20 different craft beers will be offered, directly poured from a wall with spouts. “You will find different styles of beers with fine and electric flavors at the same time,” says the team.
The place also has a micro brewing workshop to offer an exclusive beer, served only at HEIN.
Northern dishes remastered
As in Saint-André, it will be possible to eat directly on site. After calling on Papà Raffaele in Saint-André, the founders of Brique House Baptiste and Joseph joined forces with the restorers of Good life (the creators of Babe, Mother, Britney and more recently Gros Camion).
In this futuristic tavern, the flagship dishes of Flanders have been “remastered in a Brique House style”. We can thus devour a Mac & Welsh, modern 2.0 carbonnades or braised chicory. Something to feast on!
After this great opening in Lille, all that will be missing is “Heavy Toys & Slash Machines” (or HTSM for those in the know), the brasserie which is due to open at La Maillerie, in Villeneuve-d’Ascq. A little more patience, this new dantesque place should open in mid-January. We’ll get back to you soon!
Practical information: HEIN, 13 place Saint-Hubert in Lille. Open every day. More info on the Brique House Instagram account, Facebook page and website.
