Actress Heidi Karam responded to the controversy she faced from her critics because of the dress she wore while attending the activities of the El Gouna Film Festival in its sixth and exceptional session this year.
Heidi said, on the “Arab Wood” program: “The press reported what happened on social media, and the truth is that people made unreal assumptions, that the dress is without a lining, and this is a very naive assumption. The truth is, because no sane woman or any normal human being will go down the street naked.” “.
She added: “If they make this illogical assumption, then it is their personal responsibility, not mine. I was very satisfied with the dress, and I saw it as a beautiful dress, and it contained great art and effort, and I saw it as different.”
It is noteworthy that Hedi Karam was subjected to a wave of criticism and attack from the public because of the dress that she wore at the El Gouna Film Festival, as it had very transparent areas, and the lining was the same color as the body, which made the audience consider it scandalous and inappropriate for Eastern society.
