A rehearsal of the parade dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine is taking place in Kiev today. As the correspondent of “Segodnya” reports, the military are satisfied new shoes, in which they are marching now on Khreshchatyk.
“It’s very convenient and comfortable, I didn’t have to march for a long time in my old shoes, but if you compare, the cool shoes are new,” one of the participants told us.

What is planned for Independence Day
In the current military parade in the capital, more than 5,000 military personnel, more than 50 aircraft, 400 units of weapons and equipment will take part.
On the Independence Day of Ukraine, there will be three columns on Khreshchatyk – foot, air and mechanized.
It is interesting that the foot column of the combined parade crews of the National Guard of Ukraine will be represented by four “boxes” at once:
- canine unit with service dogs;
- servicemen of the special training battalion “Honor Guard”;
- cadets of the National Academy;
- combined orchestra.
