Despite the corona pandemic, the municipality of Heek is doing well economically in 2020. This is borne out by the figures that the administration recently presented to the Council at the end of the year in question. The so-called annual result is particularly eye-catching.
“The numbers are very positive,” said Mayor Franz-Josef Weilinghoff, introducing the presentation of the results. The 2020 budget year closed with a positive annual result of EUR 2,099,428.37. That is, the community has not spent more than it has received. On the contrary.
Balance sheet total increased
The balance sheet total, consisting of fixed assets and current assets (active side) as well as equity and debt (passive side), is impressive.
For Heek, the bottom line in 2020 is an increase of a good two million euros to 91,995,708.21 euros (as of December 31, 2020). In addition, equity was increased by a good 20,000 euros. No loans had to be taken out.
Budget charter with minus
In the budget charter 2020, however, there is a minus of a good 750,000 euros.
These statutes are the legal basis for the implementation of the budget and are decided by the Council in public session.
It lists the volume of income and expenses and many other things. This also includes the amount of the credit authorization and the assessment rates for property and trade tax.
