In the meeting between the accused and the Judiciary, it was revealed that Cuen Díaz’s lawyer, Miltin Ayala Vega, resigned since yesterday due to health problems.
The defendant was appointed public defenders José Iván Osuna and Ana María Sánchez Ibarra, who were ratified by Cuen Díaz.
Likewise, it was explained to him that he can change his lawyer, but that he has to do so immediately so that the hearing can be held on March 13.
Regarding the resignation, the representatives of the State Attorney General’s Office considered that the legal defender was unethical because the initial hearing had already been agreed upon.
In addition, they accused obstruction of the process, recalling that this is the third time that the hearing has been rescheduled.
After these expressions, the public defenders asked the judge for a period of 73 days to analyze the 73 volumes that make up the investigation folder.
The FGE promised to deliver the documentation. While the judge agreed that in the next hearing it will be detailed up to which volume of the 73 the defenders received, to carry out the corresponding procedures at that time.
Finally, it was decided to reschedule the initial hearing against Cuen Díaz for next March 13.
