Hebei Daily (Reporter Wang Weihong) On November 4, the 5th National Intellectual Games concluded in Hefei, Anhui Province. Athletes from Hebei Province won 2 golds, 3 silvers and 5 bronzes. The number of medals exceeded the previous one, and they won the highest number since participating in the Intellectual Games. Good results.

The National Intellectual Games, held every four years, is a comprehensive chess and card event with the highest standards, the largest scale, and the largest number of participants in my country. The current National Intellectual Games opened on October 25. There are 58 minor events in 6 major events: Go, chess, chess, bridge, backgammon, and draughts. A total of nearly 5,000 athletes from 52 participating units participated. The registration scale , the number of projects reached new highs.

Hebei Province sent a total of 108 athletes to participate in competitions in 6 major events and 55 minor events, including both professional athletes and amateur athletes, as well as adults and teenagers.

After 10 days of competition, athletes from Hebei Province won 2 golds, 3 silvers and 5 bronzes. Among them, Meng Fanrui and the Hebei Men’s Bridge Team won gold medals in the chess young men’s individual and bridge men’s team respectively. Shen Peng, Wang Zihan, Zhou Lexuan, Hebei Women’s Chess Team and other athletes or sports teams won the chess professional men’s individual, chess young women’s individual, and Go amateur women’s Medals were won in individual and chess professional women’s team events.
