Heba Tawji’s voice and Macron’s victory… “For Beirut” (video)

The voice of the artist Heba Tawji rang out with pain and emotion at the opening ceremony of the 19th Francophone Gathering in France as she sang the song “For Beirut” by Ms. Fairouz, together with L’orchestre de la Garde républicaine.
According to information from Al-Nahar, French President Macron’s cultural liaison contacted Touji and expressed his President Macron’s desire to pay tribute to Lebanon through her voice through the song “For Beirut,” which got a new arrangement signed by Alex. Misakian and the composer, Osama Rahbani.

The burning of this city, which represents Lebanon with all its regions and regions, increased when the passage in which it was mentioned: “…for his wound that cannot to heal … ..for a rock that looks like the face of an old sailor.”

Touji gave a performance that came from a heart aching for the destruction and killing taking place in her country, while French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte appeared to have moved in an act that ‘carrying double symbolism. The first is that the song is by Miss Fairouz, whom Macron has previously met and said of her that she carries, perhaps realistically or unrealistically, a role of the Lebanese dream. The second lies in the humanitarian message that Touji expressed to the nearly 1,200 representatives of countries, governments, and people who attended the Francophone summit after the suspicious global silence regarding what happened in Lebanon.

It should be noted that “Beirut” was written by the poet Joseph Harb and prepared and produced by the artist Ziad Rahbani. It is taken from the second movement of a concerto by the famous Spanish composer, Joaquin Rodrigo.
