Rush and heavy weekend traffic lead to slow-moving queues in several places in Eastern Norway on Friday afternoon, reports Vegtrafikksentralen.
– There are delays on the E18 in Drammen, the Hem tunnel in Tønsberg and the E18 Langangen in the southbound direction. There is also a lot of traffic over the E134 Haukelifjell, according to the Traffic Center. The field towards Askim on the E18 at the opera tunnel has now reopened, after being closed due to a passenger car with a traffic stop.
– There is mostly traffic all over the E18 from the center of Oslo and to Drammen. There is a lot of traffic out of Oslo and further south. There is a lot of traffic around Tønsberg, says traffic operator Andreas Larsen.
Furthermore, Larsen predicts that the worst traffic will calm down in an hour, but believes that there will still be delays throughout the evening.
– There will be a lot of exit traffic over the next few weekends and that, together with rush hour traffic, will cause delays. Nice weather has been reported for the weekend and that may be a reason why many people travel out of the city centre, says Larsen.
Train delays in Ski
There are also delays in train traffic in Ski. Signal failure led to a train stop, but now train traffic has opened.
Delays and adjustments are still expected, writes VY.
The train lines affected by delays are R22 Oslo-Mysen-Rakkestad, L2 Stabekk-Oslo S-Ski, R21 Oslo S-Moss, and RE20 Oslo S- Halden.
