The traditional summer sale takes place over two days, this Friday 2nd August and Saturday 3rd August, a great opportunity to find that rare gem for the start of the school year or going on holiday. A commercial event again carefully organized by the Lourdes Commerce Promotion Committee with the support of the City of Lourdes and its Department of Commerce. Martine Valentie, president of the CACL, and Alice, a young apprentice student at the structure, took part in the final preparations for this traders’ festival, to the delight of shoppers, who love the unpacking that gives an air of celebration to the city.

On the programme, right after the sale, good deals in sight but also good humor and music as the two managers explained: “For two days, from 9am to 7pm, the sale will take place in rue de la Grotte by local traders. and non-sedentary traders, Place Marcadal with traders and artisans, but also the shops on Avenue Joffre We will have entertainment provided by Bastien Bredeinbach from BB Sport and Animation every day from 3pm Saturday, the live at 3pm, music and its beautiful atmosphere on the streets of the city center with La Bande D’Lyre.”

Seventy-six merchants and tradesmen members

The Lourdes Trade Revitalization Committee has 76 members throughout the city, traders but also artisans, who are keen to enliven Lourdes thanks to the meetings offered throughout the year. An association that could rely on the city and especially its trade department, always at its side to organize events related to trade. During these two days, take advantage of the good weather, the enthusiasm of the traders and the low prices available: “The summer sale is really a blast, we sell everything anything”, explained Martine Valentie, her eyes already touched on the next. event: “September 13 and 14 will be when traders and artisans return to present our new collections, the -living outside, and we will have an event for the event with Paum Kannel, a cultural association of carnival and traditional West Indian music.”
