The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued a second degree warning against hailstorms for the southern poviats of the Podkarpackie, Małopolskie and Śląskie voivodships.

The most exposed to harsh weather are the following poviats: Żywiec, Suski, Nowy Targ, Tatra, Limanowski, Nowosądecki (and the city of Nowy Sącz), Gorlicki, Jasielski, Krosno (and the city of Krosno), Brzozowski, Sanocki, Leski and Bieszczady.
In this area, synoptics forecast heavy rain (up to 50 mm per square meter), hail and wind, gusts up to 75 km / h. Warnings in southern Poland are valid until 22.00.
Earlier, IMGW issued a first degree warning against hailstorms for almost all of Poland, except for the north-eastern parts of the country. The first level warning applies – depending on the region – until 22.00 or midnight.
