Foreigner is a British-American rock band founded in 1976 in New York. It was created by a British guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones and the former King Crimson group member Ian McDonald with an American vocalist Lou Gramm. The idea for the group name came up Mick Jonesbecause he Ian McDonald a Dennis Elliott was British, in turn Lou Gramm, Al Greenwood a Ed Gagliardi were Americans.
