The National Meteorological Service issued today an Emergency Weather Worsening Bulletin, according to which heavy rains and storms are expected to occur from tomorrow evening in Epirus. Taking into account the above forecast, the Directorate of Civil Protection of the Region of Epirus, has informed the Municipality and the other co-competent authorities and services to be fully prepared to deal with any problems that may arise, and recommends those who are going to move to be particularly careful.

Emergency Deterioration of Weather Bulletin (EDEK)
The weather will worsen in most regions of the country from late afternoon on Friday (03-11-23) until midday on Sunday (05-11-23) with heavy rains and storms, which will be accompanied by hail and high frequency of lightning, initially in the north-west, gradually in the rest of the west, the north with extension of the phenomena towards the north-east mainland, the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese. The winds on the seas will be strong.

A. Heavy rains and storms are forecast:
On Friday (03-11-23)
a. From late afternoon in the area of Corfu-Paxos.
b. From the evening hours in Epirus and during the night in western Sterea.
On Saturday (04-11-23)
a. From the morning hours in the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western Sterea, western Peloponnese and western Macedonia.
b. From midday in central Macedonia, eastern Macedonia and Thrace as well as the islands of the northeastern Aegean and possibly temporarily Thessaly.
c. in the evening hours the phenomena will weaken in most areas and will be limited to Thrace, the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.
On Sunday (05-11-23)
a. In the morning hours on the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.
B. Southerly winds of intensity 7 to 8 and possibly locally 9 Beaufort will blow in the Aegean from the morning hours of Saturday (04-11-23) until the late afternoon.
