Heavy Rains and Storms Expected Across 20 States in Mexico This Week

Prepare the umbrella! The National Meteorological Service (SMN) of the National Water Commission (Conagua) indicated in the weather forecast that there will be rains for the week of April 10 to 13, in more than 20 states of the Republic.

In the middle of the Easter holidays, due to the presence of cold front number 47, in interaction with a low pressure channel and height divergence, the SMN indicated that heavy to very heavy rains with electric shocks and gusts of wind are expected in much of the country.

Which states will have rain this week?

According to the SMN, the following effects are expected in the country:

Monday April 10:

• Very heavy rains with intense punctual: Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Puebla and Veracruz.
• Heavy rains with very heavy punctual rains: Queretaro.
• Intervals of showers with heavy punctual rains: Coahuila, Zacatecas and Oaxaca.
• intervals of showers: Chihuahua, Durango, Guanajuato, Michoacán, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Morelos, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Chiapas, Tabasco and Quintana Roo.
• isolated rains: Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Campeche and Yucatan.

Tuesday April 11:

• Very heavy rains with intense punctual: Puebla and Veracruz.
• Heavy rains with very heavy punctual rains: San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Hidalgo and Oaxaca.
• Intervals of showers with heavy punctual rains: Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Tlaxcala, Chiapas and Quintana Roo.
• intervals of showers: Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Guerrero, Tabasco, Campeche and Yucatan.

Wednesday April 12:

• Intervals of showers with heavy punctual rains: Guerrero, Oaxaca, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
• intervals of showers: Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Morelos, Michoacán, Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas and Campeche.
• Isolated rains (0.1 to 5 mm): Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango and Jalisco.

Thursday April 13:
