Vilario de Conso (Ourense), As Neves (Pontevedra) and Maceda (Ourense) register more than 30 liters per square meter

Municipalities in the province of Ourense, some in the south of Pontevedra and points in the Lugo mountain have been the areas where the most rainfall has been recorded throughout an early morning in which Galicia has had a yellow alert in force due to possible accumulations of more. 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours.

Although at the moment this figure has not been exceeded, Vilario de Conso (Ourense) has been the Galician town hall where the most rain has fallen, with 36.1 liters per square meter (l/m2) until 9:30 a.m. this Thursday, according to Meteogalicia meters in O Invernadeiro.

The following municipalities have been Maceda (Ourense), where 30.6 l/m2 have been reported in Alto do Rodicio; As Neves (Pontevedra), with 30.7 l/m2 at the San Nomedio meteorological station; and Manzaneda, with 29.6 l/m2 collected in Cabeza de Manzaneda.

However, the Lugo mountain has also recorded abundant rainfall, as is the case of Folgoso do Courel, with 28.4 l/m2; and Alto do Poio, in Pedrafita do Cebreiro, with 26.2 l/m2.

Despite all this, there have hardly been any major incidents. According to sources from 112 Galicia consulted by Europa Press, there may have been some flooding of streets or pools of water on the road, but none of them of significant magnitude.

After the passage of this front, Galicia will abandon the yellow warning for rain this Thursday and experience a day of skies with intervals of clouds and clearings, along with intermittent rains that will subside at night.

As for temperatures, they will decrease slightly, with low values ​​for this time of year. By city, the minimum temperatures will range between 13 degrees in Lugo and 16 in Ferrol, while in Vigo and Pontevedra the maximums will reach 22.

As for the winds, they will blow moderately from the west, although there will be strong intervals on the northern coast. In fact, there will also be a yellow warning for waves of more than four meters in the northwest of A Corua, on the Costa da Morte and in A Maria Lucense.
