Yesterday, a heavy rain warning was issued in Gangwon-do, which is unusual for December.

As temperatures dropped overnight, heavy snow fell mainly in mountainous areas.

More than 70 centimeters of snow had piled up on the top of the mountain, and snow removal work continued all day on the surrounding roads.

Gariwang Mountain, which is over 1,500 meters above sea level, has been dressed in white.

The cable car goes up and down with a spectacular view of the snow-capped mountains.

Snow fell on every tree branch, forming pure white flowers, and the majestic snow scenery unfolds endlessly.

As the heavy rain turned to snow, the rice fields and mountains turned completely white.

Tourists continued to visit the snow-covered mountains.

″It’s difficult to watch the snow pile up like this. “I think it’s good because you can have snowball fights and kids like it.”

The snow, which started in the northern mountains of Gangwon, expanded to the central and southern mountains last night, with more than 70cm of snow accumulating in many places.

Access to and access to the old Misiryeong road and the national park trail was restricted, and snow removal work continued throughout the day.

An additional 5 to 10 mm of rain is expected to fall in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon-do, and up to 3 cm of snow is expected to fall in mountainous areas.

Cherry blossoms have recently bloomed in places such as Busan and Cheonan, where spring-like weather has continued.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that the daytime temperature would rise up to 20 degrees on Friday, but that the temperature would drop significantly from the weekend due to the influence of cold continental high pressure.
