Heavy rain caused chaos in parts of Bengaluru, with 14 flights diverted and several others delayed at the city’s Kempegowda International Airport. Strong crosswinds and thunder and lightning impacted flight operations between 4.05 PM and 4.51 PM on 4 April, while areas surrounding the airport and IT corridors were among those affected. Videos depicted heavily waterlogged roads, while even the new Nallurhalli Metro station was inundated. However, central parts of the city remained dry.
