Like a spokesman for the police on request from TAG24 explained, the tractor-trailer should have started to burn this Friday morning around 7.35 a.m.
“He could still drive out of the Altfranken tunnel,” the spokesman continued. “However, this was completely blocked for the extinguishing measures in the direction of the motorway triangle.”
The closure of the lanes continues for the hour. It is not yet clear when it will be lifted. As a result, traffic accumulated several kilometers.
Motorists heading in the direction A4 are currently underway in Dresden-Südvorstadt from the German-Czech A17 motorway.
