Megan Warfield, a nine-month pregnant fire officer, is praised for saving lives in a car accident.
The fire brigade, where he works, writes that in a messages on Facebook.
The fire officer, from Maryland in the United States, was only a week away from her due date when she was involved in a car accident in Baltimore.
Warfield himself managed to get out of his damaged car and reach a car that was on the roof and where the driver was trapped inside.
– Megan ignored the possibility that she could be injured and immediately left her damaged vehicle, firefighters write in the post.
He performed life-saving first aid until the ambulance arrived.
– After all patients were evaluated, Megan accepted an evaluation herself, writes the fire department.
News from heaven writes that 24 hours later she gave birth to a girl.
Maryland firefighters hailed the woman’s “heroic and selfless act” and called her a “true hero.”
